ISMM offers services to Petroleum Corp to better manage supply chain

Institute of Supply and Materials Management President Nalin Silva in letters addressed to the President, the PM and Minister of Petroleum Resources Development Arjuna Ranatunga, has offered the professional expertise of ISMM to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation in order that the CPC may install better Supply Chain methodology and principles of procurement in order to avoid another fuel crisis in the future and also to streamline their procurement procedures

ISMM is able to offer the services of its Supply Chain experts to instil best practices and fail proof supply chain methods and procurement principles in order to prevent breakdowns in the supply chain flow.

ISMM was established in 1972 and incorporated by Act of Parliament No 3 of 1981. Since then it has been conducting supply chain education programmes at certificate level as well as the three-year Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Managements. It also conducts the International Diploma in Supply Chain Management on behalf of the International Trade Centre, Geneva as the franchise holder in Sri Lanka. ISMM has been a member of the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) since 1976 and contributed immensely. ISMM also has the proud record of having two of its Past Presidents serve as Presidents of the OPA.

ISMM has been providing consultation services for the last two decades or more to many organisations. Some of the public sector organisations being the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Police. Over 40 private sector organisations have sought consultation services to seek solutions to their Warehouse, Procurement or Supply Chain related problems.
