Idea Group of Companies’ i-Roof product conquers export market

Idea Group of Companies that offered local consumers the revolutionary roofing product i-Roof ventured into the export market by exporting its first i-Roof consignment to India. Goods shipped in February this year were ordered by a leading construction company in Bangalore.

i-Roof will be exported to many other countries within the next few months. Orders have been already secured from Ghana, Malawi, Madagascar and Egypt. 

i-Roof produced with the payoff-line “Roof with best benefits” is the only ASA polymer roofing tile produced in Sri Lanka with the ISO 9001:2015 international standard certification.

The green product i-Roof doesn’t contain Lead (Pb) or asbestos in its composition and is considered the best solution for Sri Lankan roofing requirements. In estimates made by building constructers on fixing the roof, i-Roof contributes to the lowest cost per square foot that include; fixing the frame, using heat resisters and fixture of thatching sheets. When estimates are made on roofing tiles, aluminium sheets (regular shape) and aluminium sheets (tile shape) for roofing requirements, the cost is much higher.

At those exhibitions, leading construction companies in the world got attracted to the i-Roof product. The supremacy of our product resulted in exporting the first i-Roof consignment to India. We will soon export our roofing products to many more countries,” he said.

The i-Roof product perfectly blends with diverse climatic conditions in Sri Lanka and offers its users about 25% additional benefits as against normal roofing tiles and other thatching sheets in the marketplace. The key is its strength and it could even let a three Ton vehicle go on it. It is also recommended for areas that have monkeys meddling on roofs. Since i-Roof has four layers, it gives coolness to homes. The outer layer is made with ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) that offers heavy resistance to sunlight. Hence i-Roof rids houses of heat and saves the cost for heat resistant gear needed by other thatching sheets. i-Roof maintains its colour too. Main raw materials for the production of i-Roof is exported from world famous LG Company.

A standard i-Roof is three feet and five inches in its width and can be obtained in 10 sizes. It can be obtained to the exact roof size to eliminate wastage. Hence i-Roof can be used as one sheet and it doesn’t let water seep through. It is sound resistant and minimises the sound seeping inside the house when raining. The product is non-inflammable and doesn’t let dust cover it. i-Roof is rust-proof thus it is ideal for seaside houses. The product does not contain attributes that stimulate cancer thus consumers can confidently use i-Roof for houses they build for them and their loved ones. 

ITI (Industrial Technology Institute) has done a research on i-Roof. ITI has endorsed i-Roof for many qualification parameters like product that uses ASA as a raw material, its softness, water resistant nature, flexibility and strength, resistance to acids and chemicals, non-inflammability and the ability to resist extreme weather conditions.

University of Moratuwa by doing another research on i-Roof has endorsed its flexibility, resistance to acids, water resistant nature, heat resistant nature and the ability to resist friction. 

These reputed entities have thus endorsed the excellent nature of i-Roof, its hygienic condition and its ability to blend with Sri Lanka’s diverse weather conditions. 

According to the requirement of the users i-Roof can be obtained in colours; Brick Red, Chocolate Brown, Rose red and Dark green. i-Roof is three feet and five inches in its width and comes in different lengths as six, eight, ten and twelve feet. It can also be ordered to any length the customer requires.
