Iconic Galaxy celebrated the completion of breakthrough environmentally sustainable phase of 7 levels - built on a foundation that ensures zero-impact to the canal flood retention zone. Completed are seven levels of construction atop a flood-proof foundation, an environmentally sustainable design to ensure zero risk from flooding, with drainage that will divert the storm water back into the canal.

This green concept and design is a first in Sri Lanka and allows for 60% of the land for water retention. A 2.5 meter high base is the platform for the building of the residences, scheduled to be completed by November 2021.

To mark the milestone, a multi-faith special religious ceremony was held and the event was graced by the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka, along with several other Government Ministers, officials of the Urban Development Authority (UDA), Board of Investment (BOI), Mayor of Kotte Municipal Council, among a host of dignitaries.

Iconic Developments Managing Director Rohan Parikh said: “I wish to thank Minister Champika Ranawaka, officers of the UDA, Kotte Municipal Council, BOI and the many Governmental institutions who have given us immense support towards this project.”

“We are particularly proud that the construction is being managed and implemented by a 100% Sri Lankan team and workforce. We have the utmost confidence in MAGA Engineering (our construction partner) and the Sri Lankan labour team, and are sure that Iconic Galaxy will be completed on schedule,” Parikh went on to note.

Located in the prime of Rajagiriya’s upscale locality, Iconic Galaxy is accessible from two roads in and is perched on the trunk route of Buthgamuwa Road. It will have 272 super-luxury, two, three and four bed-roomed apartments amidst a plethora of world-class amenities and services to complement the lifestyles of the buyers. True to its name, Iconic Galaxy, spread over an area of a little over two acres of land (over 87,000 square feet), offers customers ultra-luxurious high-end living at affordable prices.
