International Construction Consortium (ICC), one of Sri Lanka’s well established and renowned construction entities, was bestowed with the prestigious Construction Excellence Awards for its top notch development in the local real estate space and became the only property developer in the country to carry the accolade.

The premier construction entity, which is also a market leader in the fast evolving industry, walked away with the esteemed award by the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) at the 2019 awards edition for a number of its developments, including Oceanfront Condominiums Nilaveli and Orchid Apartments 2 in Malabe, two properties which were successful due to their unique features.

The CIDA Excellence Awards is an Annual National Awards Ceremony for construction excellence and symbolises the industry’s commitment to promote quality and professionalism in the construction sector of Sri Lanka. The awarding body follows a series of stringent guidelines to evaluate the procedures followed during planning, execution and completion of the project. Adherence to these guidelines is a definite indicator of high quality construction, which is the only recognised assurance a buyer can obtain.  ICC being the sole General Contractor and Property Developer to receive this award affirms the strong position of their current and potential home owners, including those of Orchid Apartments and Oceanfront Condominiums. This unique combination is one that few other developments in Sri Lanka can claim. Both the properties reached successful completion on time as scheduled and are already occupied by residents with few units still available for sale.

Receiving the CIDA award for 2019 adds to ICC excellent track record, having received the Construction Excellence Awards for the Years 1994, 2002, 2003, 2005 2006 2008, 2009 and 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015, the Construction Merit Awards for the Years 1992, 1997, 2013 and Merit Award for Innovation Construction technology in 2006.

Established in the 1980s, the ICC is grown to become one of Sri Lanka’s most reliable contractors. Innovative in their methodologies, the ICC holds the highest ranting by the Construction Industry Development Authority of Sri Lanka (CIDA). The tier-one general contractor has a strong track record since inception as its rich portfolios includes a mix of government infrastructure projects, local and foreign client projects, and self-developed, designed and builds projects.
