‘Excon 2019’ road show to be held in Colombo focusing on Lankan construction sector

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s apex industry association, will hold a road show in Colombo on 21 October in a bid to promote one of its iconic events, ‘Excon 2019,’ South Asia’s largest event for the construction equipment sector. The Chief Guest of the event will be Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa.

The event, presently in its 10th edition is scheduled to be held from 10-14 December at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru and will feature more than 1250 companies including 350 from abroad. The previous edition of this biennial initiative organised in 2017 featured 918 exhibitors including 226 exhibitors from abroad and was spread over an area of 26,00,000 square feet with the attendance of 55,224 business visitors. This event will showcase the best of equipment and technology available for modern infrastructure creation. 

The ‘Excon 2019’ road show in Colombo, which is facilitated by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, is part of CIIs series of planned events held across the region to promote the Bangalore event. The Lankan road show will be held at the Hotel Taj Samudra, starting at 7 p.m. with a presentation followed by cocktails. Entrance will be free.
