This year we decided to add element of fun in to our awareness campaigns as well so that we engage more children.”

Three ice-cream stalls were set up outside the aforementioned outlets during after school hours and free ice-cream was handed out to scores of tired children who flocked to get their free treat. Parents and other pedestrians were also not left behind with generous gift 1,000 rupee gift vouchers being handed out to everyone. Furthermore, a free on-the-spot hearing and eye screening was also conducted for all children who visited the stalls. Meanwhile, Wickramarachchi Opticians will be running a month-long 50% off offer on all children’s frames and sunglasses till the end of October.
