V and Eye Opticians, chaired by Malarvilli Anton and having been in operation for 15 consecutive years, was named the Silver Winner of the Medium Category at the recently concluded Women Entrepreneur Annual Awards held in Colombo under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe.

This annual event for the encouragement and recognition of women entrepreneurs island-wide is organised by the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce that was established in 1985, and it is the only Chamber Of Commerce dedicated to women in Sri Lanka.

Malarvilli, commenting at the Awards, said she is encouraged by the awards presented in recognition of women in Sri Lanka and considers it a token of appreciation for their tireless efforts to uplift the economy of Sri Lanka.
