“National Cleaner Production Awards is the pioneer environment awards programme in Sri Lanka started in 2007. The uniqueness of this awards programme is its criteria of evaluation where the improvement of the overall resource productivity is taken as the critical mass of evaluation. This programme has earned its reputation for the objective and detailed evaluation process of the performance in desktop as well as onsite.  

The objective of this awards programme is the appreciation of the companies who has been dedicated and committed for the protection of environment.Those companies have successfully implemented proactive measures to improve resource productivity and to prevent pollution.
