A Balanced Scorecard for the nation

Economic indicators in its simplest form are an aggregation of human behavior.

In a highly interlinked and complex global economy, over-reliance on a single indicator like GDP growth can be misleading and less than holistic.

Countries should have a Balanced Scorecard of socioeconomic indicators as the real measure of a nation’s prosperity. These should be so simple that even the man on the street should be able to understand how his contribution links to it and what it means to him.
