Ban Pirai TV and Pirai FM

Comments / {{hitsCtrl.values.hits}} Views / Tuesday, 14 May 2019 00:00

We were shocked to read that Ask Media Network has launched the first 24-hour Islamic Tamil TV channel – Pirai TV. We also understand that there is a radio channel, Pirai FM. As soon as Peace TV was banned, this suddenly springs up out of nowhere.

We Muslims in Sri Lanka do not need a separate Islamic Tamil television or radio station. The facility provided by the State channels and the private TV channels in Sri Lanka are more than adequate for the Muslim population.

Under the guise of advertisements, the extremist organisations and terrorist organisations will infiltrate and use this channel to propagate and promote their filth.

We appeal to the Government, the President, Prime Minister, the Media Minister, Ministry of Muslim Cultural Affairs and whoever may be responsible to please ban these TV and radio channels immediately.
