Unemployed graduates to be assigned to assist public health inspectors 

Unemployed graduates who were to undergo training at Provincial Council Secretariats will be reassigned to assist public health inspectors (PHI) at their respective offices, the Ministry of Home Affairs said, issuing a press release. 

According to Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs S. Hettiarachchi, the decision was taken after a request was made by the Health Ministry in light of the current campaign to counter the outbreak of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka. 

Due to the current curfew in place, the graduates are not required to report to the respective PHI offices tomorrow. However, graduates are requested to await further instructions, which will be given in the coming days, the press release stated.
