UAE Ambassador to Sri Lanka gifts 10 beds worth over Rs. 2 m to hospitals in Kurunegala

United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ahmed Ali Ibrahim Al Mualla gifted 10 high end hospital beds, worth over Rs. 2 million to update the facilities of four hospitals in the Kurunegala District. This was in response to a request made by North Western Province Governor A.J.M. Muzammil.

The hospital beds were distributed at a ceremony held at the Kurunegala Town Hall. Accordingly the beds were distributed as follows: two hospital beds to the Bhikku ward at the Kurunegala General Hospital, two for the Mathawa hospital, three beds to the Nikeweratiya hospital and three to the Kobeigane hospital.

North Western Province, Senior monk in charge of judicial affairs of the Sangha (North Western Province Pradhana Adhikarana Sanghanayaka), Ven. Pinarathana Thera, Ven. Puwakmote Thera, Mayor of Kurunegala, local councillors, coordinating secretaries of the Governor, and other officials were present at the occasion.
