Tolls announced for newly opened sections of Southern Expressway

The tolls for the newly opened sections of the Southern Expressway has been announced in a Gazette notification.

According to the Road Development Authority (RDA) the distance from Barawakumbuka to Andarawewa via Mattala is 21 km. A Rs. 100 fee will be charged from Barawakumbuka to Sooriyaweva and Rs. 200 to Mattala. The fare from Mattala to Sooriyaweva is also Rs. 100.

Meanwhile, the Kerawalapitiya to Kadawatha section of the Outer Circular Highway was opened recently. The RDA states that for the 28 km section a toll of Rs. 100 will be charged for the Kadawatha-Kerawalapitiya section and a fee of Rs. 150 will also be charged from Kerawalapitiya to Peliyagoda.

The RDA stated that the Gazette notification announcing the tolls has been received by the Director of the Highway Traffic Maintenance and Management Unit.
