Six people arrested with 4 kilos of heroin in Dehiwala

Six suspects were arrested with 4.2 kilograms of heroin during a raid in Dehiwala conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau on Monday night.

Two of the arrested suspects are Maldivian nationals while the other four are Sri Lankans. Officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau have also seized two cars that were in the possession of the suspects.

The suspects, between 26 and 28 years of age, were produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a team of officers of Dehiwala Police has arrested two suspects with 3.875 kg of tobacco-mixed drug known as ‘Mawa’ in Dehiwala.

The suspects, aged 21 and 49, are residents of Dehiwala and Matugama. They were also produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court.
