Senior Journalist M.J.M. Zarook no more

Senior Journalist M.J.M. Zarook passed away at the age of 89 on Saturday.  

He was the Legal Editor of Daily Mirror (Wijeya Newspapers) until his retirement and had previously worked at the Daily News as well.

He received several achievement awards of the Journalism awards ceremony organised by the Media Institutions.  

His funeral (Janaza) took place at Dehiwela Jumma Grand Mosque on Saturday evening from his residence No. 465, Havelock Road, Colombo-5. He leaves wife Nazly, daughter Hafsa and son Rushdie Zarook (Attorney-at-Law).
