Rishad testifies before PCoI probing Easter Sunday attacks via Skype

Former MP Rishad Bathiudeen yesterday connected via Skype technology to testify before the Presidential Commission (PCol) probing the Easter Sunday attacks. Bathiudeen is currently in remand custody at the Magazine Prison, Welikada and he was unable to testify before the commission in person due to the second wave of COVID-19.

The Prison official informed the commission that two inmates next to the MP Bathiudeen’s cell had tested positive for COVID-19 and there was risk of sending the witness to the Commission premises.
