According to a press release by the UNP, Wickremesinghe advised Senanayake to provide immediate relief to three-wheeler drivers and the public in the Colombo Municipal area affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. “A number of concessions were discussed, including the elimination of taxes levied on three-wheeler drivers and the removal of parking fees,” the press release said.

The Mayor of Colombo had stated that the Western Provincial Council has to pay Rs. 300 million to the Colombo Municipal Council at the meeting, prompting Wickremesinghe to instruct her to take action to recover it, pointing out that legal action should be taken if the Western Provincial Council fails to pay it.
