President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will visit Kandy today, extending his support for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) election campaign. Accordingly, President Rajapaksa is scheduled to attend 10 public gatherings to be held in Kandy district to ensure the victory of the SLPP candidates contesting in the upcoming General Election. According to the President’s Media Unit, the meetings are organised by various candidates from SLPP, representing the Kandy district for the upcoming Parliamentary Election. All of the meetings are scheduled to be held under the patronage of the President from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
