President Sirisena visits Sunil Ratnayake

President Maithripala Sirisena recently paid a visit to television, film, teledrama and advertising industry veteran Sunil Ratnayake at home. Spending nearly 45 minutes, President discussed about Ratnayake’s 30 year service to multiple industries as well as his role as an ambassador promoting Sri Lanka as a location to foreign film studios and producers.  In December Ratnayake publicly marked three decades in the industry. His production company Teleview introduced groundbreaking TV series to Sri Lanka such as ‘Dandubasnamanaya’ and ‘Veda Hamine’ that took the industry in a new direction. A star-studded felicitation ceremony was held at the BMICH to commemorate Ratnayake’s long career. Here President Sirisena with Ratnayake.
