Police set up operations centre for upcoming General Election duties

The Police yesterday revealed that they have set up an operations room to coordinate duties during the General Elections that are to be held next month.

Issuing a press release, the Police Media Unit said that the operations centre has been established at the Police headquarters and is ready to receive complaints from the public on any violations of election-related regulations. 

The Police requested the public to promptly report any violations of election regulations to the centre by calling 1933, 011 247 2757, 011 597 8701 or 011 597 8702. Complaints can also be faxed to 011 234 5553 and 011 232 7706, or e-mailed to [email protected].
