Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday sent a letter commending the Special Task Force (STF) and STF DIG M.R. Latheef for their work in apprehending drug smugglers and to eradicate the drug menace from Sri Lanka, Prime Minister’s media said.     

“I commend the STF on its high standards of competence, efficiency and organisational skills in the recent raid in Dubai. Having such exceptionally professional officials in the STF is an asset to Sri Lanka. I would like to extend my congratulations to the STF on this occasion,” the letter said.
