Orientation program for newly-elected MPs

A two-day Orientation Workshop will be conducted for all Members of Parliament (MPs) tomorrow and the day after, Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake said.

Arrangements have been made to conduct the orientation workshop for the MPs elected to the Ninth Parliament on each day from 9 a.m. to 6p.m. at the Committee Room 1 in Parliament. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will be the Chief Guest at the opening session while Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, too, will attend the workshop. The SG has invited all MPs to attend the workshop.
