Liquor shops closed for New Year, Vesak

The Department of Exercise yesterday announced the closure of all liquor shops and taverns for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year as well as on Vesak Poya Day.

Accordingly, all liquor shops in the island will be closed on 13, 14, 29 and 30 April.

Legal action will be taken against those who break these laws, the department said.
