INSEE Cement pledges to rebuild three churches damaged by Easter terror attack

INSEE Cement, Sri Lanka’s premier producer of cement that has constructed over a third of the nation’s homes, has always been dedicated to building the nation. As the nation reeled from the catastrophic destruction of lives and churches after the Easter Sunday bombing, INSEE Cement stepped forward to help rebuild and restore the nation’s damaged churches due to the unprecedented onslaught.    

The coordinated terror attack that took place on 21 April damaged St Anthony’s Shrine in Colombo 13, St. Sebastian’s Church in Negombo and Zion Church in Batticaloa killing and injuring the church attendees. 

INSEE Cement Sri Lanka Chairman/CEO Nandana Ekanayake explained the spirit in which the company has pledged to provide the company’s Ready-Mix brand of INSEE Concrete and INSEE Sanstha Cement to reconstruct the three churches affected by the Easter Sunday bombing.  

He further added: “Rebuilding and restoring the three damaged churches as quickly as possible is important to all the people of Sri Lanka, irrespective of religion or ethnicity, because as a nation we strongly believe in joining hands and living in harmony. Therefore, it is important to restore the churches without delay.”
