Govt. to give 3,800 graduates jobs today

• Graduates to receive appointment letters from PM 
• First phase of absorbing 16,800 graduates into public service 

The Government will provide employment to 3,800 graduates in the first phase today as part of a policy to absorb 16,800 graduates into the public service.  The graduates will receive their appointment letters from Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees today, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.  Under this latest program all those picked from the Colombo and Gampaha districts as well as 200 graduates from Kalutara will be receiving employment letters. 40 graduates from all other districts have also been selected. As many as 880 external degree holders will also be given employment under the first phase. The graduates who have been selected but will not be at Temple Trees will be given their appointment letters from the District Secretaries in their respective districts.
