Embassy of Egypt lays foundation for Rs. 320 m new building

The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new building of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt was convened on 12 December at the Embassy premises at No. 39, Dr. Lester James Peiris Mawatha, Colombo 05. Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sri Lanka Hussein El-Saharty, Deputy Chief of Mission Karim Abulenein, and the Embassy staff were present at the ceremony. Also present were Sripalie Contractors Chairman P.H. Ruwan De Silva, Arch-Triad Consultants Chief Architect Ruwan Priyanka, and staff members of the two leading companies, who have declared the launching of this ambitious project to construct a high-end two-storied building for the Embassy at the cost of Rs. 320 million, due to be completed by January 2020.
