Education Ministry asked to submit comprehensive report on “Hathe Ape Potha” 

The Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development and Sectoral Oversight Committee on Women and Gender met yesterday in the Parliament Complex and directed the Ministry of Education to submit a comprehensive report within a month on the “Hathe Ape Potha” school book developed to educate children. 

Members of the two committees, meeting State officials of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Education responsible for printing the book, recommended a full study, and to prepare a set of books to meet different age limits.

During the discussion, it was revealed 350,000 copies of the book were printed and Government was able to retrieve 25,000 copies of what has been distributed. (AH)
