Dulles and Keheliya appointed as GR’s Spokesmen

United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarians Dulles Alahapperuma and Keheliya Rambukwella have been appointed as the official Media Spokesmen of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa respectively.

Issuing a statement, the SLPP Media Unit said the decision was unanimously taken during a Joint Opposition party leaders’ meeting held at Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa’s official residence on Thursday.

Informed sources said the decision was promoted by the widespread criticism levelled at the SLPP after the media was blocked from covering the SLPP Youth Convention. During the subsequent Joint Opposition (JO) party leaders’ meeting, senior members of the JO had also discussed ways to better coordinate with the media.
