Defence Secretary visits Air Force HQ

Ministry of Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando visited the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) in Colombo this week.

Upon being received by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathi, the Defence Secretary was accorded a Guard of Honour.

This is the first visit of the Secretary to the AFHQ since assuming duties as the Defence Secretary earlier this month.

During his visit, the Defence Secretary inspected various departments of the Air Force complex and received a briefing on the operations of the SLAF. Members of the SLAF Board of Management and other senior officers were also present at this occasion.
