Cabinet approves compensation for Easter Sunday attack victims

• Mosques damaged in anti-Muslim riots to be repaired 

The Cabinet yesterday approved the proposal presented by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to provide compensation for mosques damaged in anti-Muslim attacks using the same procedure compensations that were provided for the damages caused to churches in the Easter Sunday attack. 

The Cabinet also approved the proposal presented by Housing Minister Sajith Premadasa, to secure funds for the implementation of ‘Swashakthi’ human development special program by the Urban Settlement Development Authority with the coordination of ‘Seth Sarana’ social service institution for families who were affected in the Easter Sunday attacks.
