CC approves Kodagoda, Nawaz appointments

The Constitution Council has approved the appointment of Justice Yasantha Kodagoda as a Supreme Court Judge and Justice A.H.M.D Nawaz as the President of the Court of Appeal.

These appointments were carried out following the recommendation by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Justice Kodagoda served as the President of the Court of Appeal before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa nominated him to the Apex Court to fill the vacancy created by the demise of Justice Prasanna Jayawardana recently.
