Serviceform, a platform which engages, interacts with, and leads its website visitors into qualified sales through conversations, was launched at a grand ceremony held on 22 July.

With the company’s primary focus on working with real estate, insurance, e-commerce, travel and banking, the platform facilitates its services through online chatbots and dynamic forms which are automated conversations.

The company was founded in Finland in December 2017, by Iranthi Gomes and Jarkko Oksanen, and the duo expanded their services to Barcelona, Spain, in early 2019, with the intention of reaching out to the European markets to further globally domesticate their ground-breaking service-offering platform.

Being a Sri Lankan, Iranthi’s vision and passion was to bring this new technology to her motherland. Complemented by this vision, they brought Serviceform to Sri Lanka, set up their local operations in Colombo 01, and hired a highly skilled team of six employees at the start.

They found that being based in Europe created some difficulties, and was deemed cumbersome due to the difference in time zones when dealing with its clients in Australia and New Zealand.

Setting up business in Sri Lanka was the perfect solution for them, as it enabled them to be up-to-date and improve the company’s efficiency with time and productivity when dealing with Europe and the Asia Pacific region, as Sri Lanka was identified as the ideal strategic location to reach out to both ends.

Some of Serviceform’s clientele and partners that came on board in Sri Lanka include Takas.lk, LimitedEdition.lk, GFLOCK, FriMi, 444, U.S. Car Sales, Wine World, IIHE, Dialog Genie and Anilana among others.

The company has emphasised that it is partnering up with FriMi and Dialog Genie as payment gateway providers, to process payments within the local market. Their main goal for the Sri Lankan and Asian markets is to encourage more people to buy online, in an attempt to encourage the automation of recurring processes, and improve the whole booking experience into a digitally seamless one.
