Ogilvy Media Sri Lanka won the Bronze award for Media Agency of the Year – Rest of South Asia at the prestigious Campaign Agency of the Year Awards 2019 for the second consecutive year, at a gala event held in Mumbai on 3 December.

Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Agency of the Year Awards now in its 26th year, celebrates the people, the work and the businesses achieving outstanding success in media, marketing and advertising. The entries are judged by an eminent panel comprised of client marketers and Campaign editors and is the most respected industry awards in the region.

The judging criteria for these awards include a demonstration of strong leadership, creativity and innovation, stellar new business performance, the development of talent, and contribution to the industry.

Ogilvy Media was recognised at the Awards for successfully performing in all these areas and increasing media billings and revenue against a rapidly deteriorating market in a period of continuous economic down-turn in Sri Lanka, further aggravated by the Easter Sunday bombings.

The year 2018/19 saw deteriorating market confidence, and a changing media landscape in dwindling economic environment. With clients demanding highly effective and high impact solutions and maximum value for shrinking budgets, Ogilvy Media was able to retain all existing clients and discover new revenue streams through innovation; upholding the agency’s uniqueness of planning excellence and service quality and cementing its position as a leader in the Sri Lankan media industry.

Ogilvy Media specialises in planning and strategising media buying, with a dedicated staff of over 50. The agency is a strategic business unit of the Phoenix Ogilvy Group Sri Lanka.
