CTC recognises star performers at annual Pinnacle Awards 2019

In felicitation of the company’s most outstanding Trade Marketing Executives (TMEs) and distributors, the Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC (CTC) organised The Pinnacle Awards 2019, an annual event held to celebrate their achievements.

The Pinnacle Awards 2019 recognised the efforts of four outstanding TMEs in the trade and distribution category. The most sought-after award for the year, the ‘Trade Marketing Executive for 2018’ was won by Shihan Rodrigo for his outstanding contributions to the business. Additionally, Buneshka Perera received the 1st runners up award while Lahiru Sanjeewa was awarded the 2nd runners up title. Meanwhile, Chinthaka Wickramaarachchi was bestowed the honour of the Best Emerging Executive of the year 2018.

Other winners of the night included Glenard Leon who won the Most Outstanding Executive in SPI, Brands & BD for 2018 and ImalkaBandara who was recognised as the Most Outstanding Assistant Manager of the year 2018.

CTC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Michael Koest, voicing his thoughts at the event said, “We are always looking out for ways to increase efficiencyand achieve our targets on all levels including, operations, productivity, sales and marketing.” Commending the winners of the night, he further stated, “I am delighted to celebrate the achievements of our employees and distributors who pushed themselves beyond expectations to take our business to new heights. As I congratulate this year’s winners, I am sure that tonight’scelebrations will serve as an inspiration for others to benchmark themselves against.”

CTC also recognised nine of its distributors for their outstanding performance in the past year. Winners of the night included, Arunadisi Ltd., Wickramaratne Distributors Ltd., Excel Distributors Ltd., Gamani Bros Ltd., D.S.Gunasekera Ltd., Jayawardene & Sons, Samaranayake & Co. Ltd., G H A De Silva & Co. and Kurunegala Merchants Ltd.  CTC Marketing Director Kavinda Nanayakkara noted, “The individuals who received the Pinnacle Awards represent a talented and determined group. Year after year, they constantly set the bar higher and amaze us with their exceptional performance. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and it gives us great pleasure to recognise them tonight.”
