TMC Colombo holds presentation and fellowship

Over 30 members who confirmed their presence for the 30 January event at 6 p.m. at the Galadari Hotel were unable to be present due to the chaotic traffic situation in most areas of Colombo. Much of the traffic was re-directed to other roads causing further delays to motorists due to two protest marches.

The event that was scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. eventually, got started only at 7 p.m., with as many as 30 or more unable to reach the hotel and returning home. Dayan Fernando a senior member of TMC was the emcee for the evening and made a brief welcome and invited the interim President of the Board of Management Deepal Abeysekera to formally welcome the participants.  Over 70 participants watched and listened attentively to the presentation made by the President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem on the history, vision and progress of TMC over the years. He went on to provide further details of the future of TMC, some new member classifications, benefits and the launch of the exclusive Platinum membership. He urged the members to patronise the club and the many events that are held monthly to achieve the vision and mission of TMC, of bringing together professional managers of different disciplines, so that they may meet, greet, interact and network thereby enhancing their managerial skills.

A lively interactive session followed, conducted by the Vice President of the Board of Management Graham Marshall. The event concluded with fellowship and camaraderie amidst live music at 10 p.m.
