The Board Of Management of The Management Club held its AGM on Wednesday 26 August at TMC Boardroom at 6 p.m. The attendance was close to 100% and the proceedings of having the quorum confirmed, the notice read, previous minutes and accounts adopted. Murali Prakash the Immediate Past President who had a few months ago proposed Deepal Abeysekera as the interim President as he was to be away overseas, was confirmed as the President of the BOM for the year 20/21.

Deepal in his usual inimitable style thanked the outgoing President for his leadership during the past three years and for the services he had rendered during his term of office. He also thanked the outgoing members of BOM for their commitment towards The Management Club.

He also thanked those members who wished to continue on the BOM and expressed his thanks to a few new members of the BOM, all of whom have either been founder members or have held the membership for many years and have come forward to serve the BOM due to their loyalty to The Management Club.

After the completion of the BOM AGM the members proceeded to the Anthurium Hall for the TMC Colombo AGM, which was closely followed by the AGM of TMC Mount Lavinia. Both TMC CMB and Mount AGMs were well-attended, with numbers far exceeding the required quorum. Details pertaining to both their AGMs along with pictures will appear in the next publication of The Daily Financial Times, TMC’s Print Media Sponsors, on 21 September.

The evening culminated with fellowship and camaraderie at the conclusion of the AGMs.
