PIM becomes first State sector higher education entity to obtain prestigious ISO 9001:2015

The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), the nation’s management mentor, achieved another first by becoming the first State sector higher education entity to obtain the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification. It was a transition and an upgrade from the previous ISO 9001:2008 based quality management system. This process was culminated by SLSL Director General/Chief Executive Officer Dr. Siddhika G. Senaratne handing over the coveted certificate to PIM Director Prof. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri at a ceremony held at PIM recently. 

PIM Senior Assistant Registrar Jayantha Ranapura was instrumental in coordinating the process and ensuring the smooth transfer from the existing quality management system, namely, ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015. The PIM community is very much keen on serving the nation in producing global leaders with the local pulse, in line with its vision of becoming a centre of management excellence in South Asia.
