CSE on board for 5th consecutive year to power CA Sri Lanka’s 55th Annual Report Awards

For the fifth consecutive year, the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will power the 55th Annual Report Awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). 

CSE has come on board to support the prestigious competition as the Strategic Partner. The sponsorship cheque was handed over to CA Sri Lanka President Jagath Perera by Colombo Stock Exchange Chairman Ray Abeywardena recently. The competition promotes transparency, accountability, social responsibility and corporate governance among the country’s diverse business sector. 

Welcoming CSE onboard, Perera said that securing the support of an organisation such as CSE was not only a boost to the competition’s standing but was also an endorsement to the importance of the competition. 

Abeywardena said that CSE was pleased to partner with CA Sri Lanka for the fifth consecutive year in support of the 55th edition of the Annual Report Awards to foster quality and effective reporting among Sri Lankan companies. “The CSE makes a constant effort to create an efficient regulatory regime through which companies have the opportunity to obtain long term value of fair, transparent and effective reporting focused on all stakeholders. Our continuing advocacy in this regard, is vital to the growth and sustenance of not only the capital markets but the Sri Lankan economy at large. The confidence, credibility that results from high quality reporting benefits us all,” he added. 

The grand finale of the 55th Annual Report Awards will be held on Tuesday, 3 December where the best annual reports produced in the country will be honoured.
