Colombo’s first ever wedding event, featuring over 19 venues at two properties and over 25 leading wedding partners

  • Witness Colombo’s biggest one-day wedding display on 10 February

Cinnamon City Weddings, your journey to ‘I Do’, will be a never-before-seen wedding event presented by two of Cinnamon’s city hotels – Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside – that will showcase everything you would want and more, when preparing for your big day.

10 February 2019 will see a distinctive event where couples planning to tie the knot and their families can experience the diverse celebratory moments that can be accommodated at the two luxury properties.

The two premier hotels are expecting over 1,000 visitors to attend the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., showcasing venues in both morning and evening moods.

The main attraction of the event will be a unique 50% discount given to couples who confirm their wedding on the day, by paying 50% of the cost. Subject to terms and conditions.

Over 25 leading wedding vendors will partner with Cinnamon’s city hotels to showcase the venues. Sri Lanka’s leading electronic media organisation will partner for the event with popular radio stations such as YES FM, Shakthi FM and Sirasa TV coming onboard. Partners of the event will include Poru Creations, 2nd Chance Flowers, Lassana Flora, Petals, Arty Weddings, Blooming Flora, Heshran, Weddings by Shero, Chamathkara Flora, 90F Weddings, Wedding Petals, Kandian Florals Edge, Flowery Décor, Shine by 2nd Chance, Frances Flower Decors, Designer Blooms, Red Floral Events, Cane Furnishing House, and Wed in Style, among others.

One of the key features of the wedding extravaganza will be that both Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside will simultaneously transform their properties into one great journey leading up to the wedding day. Starting from the entrance, each venue will be dressed up in a variety of décor options depicting traditional, Western and Eastern themes, as well as a set of fusion themes giving a glimpse of the newest trends in the wedding world. 19 venues will offer stunning options, showcasing everything from areas for proposals, hen nights, bachelor parties, and blessing ceremonies, leading up to celebrations of the big day itself.

Cinnamon Red’s rooftop area would also be available as a venue for special occasions such as proposals. Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts properties will also come onboard with special honeymoon packages.

Yet another highlight of the event will be a surprise proposal by one lucky competition winner, who can propose to their partner on the day and enjoy a champagne cocktail with 20 guests. Both properties will offer these enticing pre-wedding gifts. In addition, 15 lucky couples will have the chance to win honeymoon stays at Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts properties. The giveaway competitions will be held through electronic partner Sirasa TV’s ‘Subasiri’ wedding program in the lead up to the event. Stay tuned for more details to win these exciting prizes.

In addition, the Cinnamon City Weddings Magazine Directory will be produced to showcase the event with a comprehensive listing of the vendors who are partnering with Cinnamon’s city hotels for the event. This publication will serve as a base of reference, with a host of discount coupons for couples who plan to marry within the next two years.

Interested advertisers offering products and services related to weddings, other than floral partners, who would want to be featured in the publication can inquire at 077 151 3752 or cinnamoncityweddings@cinnamonhotels.com.
