Tiesh unveils Sri Lanka’s largest gems and jewellery emporium in central hills

Leading jeweller Tiesh recently opened its 27,000 square foot massive showroom in Kandy.

One of the pioneer gems and jewellery outlets in the central hills known as Lakmini Ltd. since its launch more than two decades ago at 676, Peradeniya Road, Kandy,it was recently renamed and revamped as ‘Tiesh’. This will as usual attract the majority of the walk-in customers plus tourists who visit the country.

Tiesh holds the record for owning the largest showroom in Sri Lanka since 2016 when it opened its Gallery of Sapphires. The spacious new outlet will see 14,000 square feet for the showroom and 13,000 square feet for the service area. 

This esteemed institution was founded by present Managing DirectorLasantha De Fonseka, who said: “The success of Tiesh as Sri Lanka’s leading gems and jewelleryprovideris also due to the dedication and passion of my family, staff, tour operators and loyal customers.” All items in the outlet are intricately designed with precious metals ranging from gold (yellow, white and rose in 22k, 18k and 14k) to sterling silver. With a key eye for detail, the one-of-a-kind jewellery is crafted to international standards and designed to mesmerise.

This institution is headed by its Founder/Managing DirectorDe Fonseka and his wife Bryony. Tiesh is joined by the quality hands of the next generation with daughter Thiyasha and son Ayesh both committed young blood in providing unparalleled expertise and personal interest in each customer who steps into the world of brilliance. Tiesh as one of the leading jewellers is also engaging hands-on learning experience.
