Founded in 2004 by Peter Bracken, an established Middle Eastern Retailer with over 30 years of market experience, The Toy Store first opened its stores in Muscat, Oman. It has been conceptualized to give an innovative, fun and imaginative shopping experience for customers, with a wide range of toys and products, dedicated to finding solutions through entertainment and learning.

A range of action toys, arts and crafts, construction toys, dolls and accessories, games and puzzles, remote vehicles, die cast vehicles, bikes and trikes, ride on vehicles, outdoor play and much more will be available. “The interaction with children and parents is important to us, as we capture excitement with demonstrations and workshops delivered by our sales experts,” said a spokesperson for The Toy Store.

“The winner of the Best Toy Store award given by Time Out Dubai, for three years, namely 2015, 2016 and 2018, Softlogic is indeed privileged to introduce a tried and tested haven for children as well as parents such as The Toy Store to Sri Lanka,” said Softlogic Holdings PLC Chairman Ashok Pathirage.

“The Toy Store has established a global, successful and sustained reputation with international licenses, creativity and exclusivity, giving a customer experience like none other and Softlogic is indeed proud to partner with them to bring to Sri Lanka the unparalleled Toy Store experience,” said Pathirage.

The in-store entertainment is a hit with both parents and children, with customers entering a world of imagination and wonder. Live workshops, demonstrations and interactive entertainment, enable The Toy Store to continue to gain an edge over its competition. The ‘play before pay’ ethos which is found across all The Toy Store outlets is another feature which encourages parents to shop there.

Children are allowed to engage with select toys before choosing to buy them, and this in turn gives parents the reassurance that the selected toy will add real value to their child’s play time without being discarded in a matter of days.

Consumer safety and security is paramount to The Toy Store, with the store being designed specifically with children in mind. Bespoke fittings and specially designed counters provide a safe environment for children to play, with no sharp edges or potential hazards.

What’s more, The Toy Store will have a launch event for kids on Saturday 9 November, complete with jugglers, magic balloons, face painting, and gifts with selected purchases throughout the day.
