Strategically located in a 100 perch plot of land in the city of Pandura, Samaranayake The Discount Store building has a floor area of 10,000 square feet and a spacious car park and a dedicated staff of over 75. The discount store operates 365 days a year under the theme ‘Discounts for everything everyday’. The discount store is going to offer lucrative discounts for pregnant mothers and pensioners and loyalty cards for all customers. “It is a dream coming true to have been able to bring the supermarket to Panadura,” said Suren Samaranayake, MD, who thanked his father and founder of the business Dhananjaya Samaranayake, his mother, brothers and wife, the staff and all those who helped him to achieve this feat. His aim is to expand ‘Samaranayake The Discount Store’ as a shopping mall including cinema, restaurants, etc.
