Cinnamon City Weddings, your journey to ‘I Do’ brings to life the venues that you always dreamed of as the backdrop to your special day. The moments that become lifetime memories must have a starting point, and what better way to imagine them than seeing them first-hand, be it in morning or evening moods. Taking place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on 10 February, at Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside, over 19 venues will be decorated in different themes, with support from 25 leading event partners. Entrance is free.

Avail yourself of a range of unbeatable discounts from leading florists, designers, jewellers and other wedding-related service organisations that registered guests can use within the next two years. These once-in-a-lifetime offers will be published in a full colour brochure, which will also serve as a directory of wedding partners. The two five-star properties will also offer a 15% discount on bookings made on the day, which will be valid until 31 December 2020. 

Each space will portray several themes, showing couples the possibilities of how the venues can be used for their grand day or the many moments that lead up to it. Settings not previously showcased at the two properties, such as the stunning poolside, as well other indoor and outdoor venues will also be on display.

New features such as blessing ceremonies, bridal showers, hen and stag nights can also be viewed on the day. Each venue will be distinctive – for example, Cinnamon Grand’s Nuga Gama, the village in the city, will feature a traditional Kandyan wedding and Sangeet ceremony, while the Waterside at Cinnamon Lakeside will showcase Hindu and Western weddings, and Earls Court will have a Mehendi ceremony setup.

The venues will be designed by the leaders in the business – Poru Creations, 2nd Chance Flowers, Lassana Flora, Petals, Arty Weddings, Blooming Flora, Heshran, Weddings by Shero, Chamathkara Flora, 90F Weddings, Wedding Petals, Kandian Florals Edge, Flowery Décor, Shine by 2nd Chance, Frances Flower Decors, Designer Blooms, Red Floral Events, Cane Furnishing House, and Wed in Style.

High-end designers and salons have also come onboard to showcase the trending themes in wedding wear. Official salon partners include Ramani Fernando Salons, Nadine’s Salon and Manjula Handapangoda Bridal Salon. The official menswear/grooms’ clothing partner is Hameedia, while official wedding attire partners include GeeBees by Aslam Hussein and Wedding Dreams.
