The Galle Face Hotel recently hosted an exclusive Wedding Show to kick off its wedding campaign #GFHRealWeddings and begin the 2019 wedding season.

In keeping with the #GFHRealWeddings theme, the hotel organised demonstrations of real weddings with models beautifully enacting wedding ceremonies in the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu and Muslim traditions. Kandyan dancers entertained the guests and a variety of well-known wedding suppliers showcased their products and services.

In addition to this, the hotel organised a bridal demonstration by well-known beautician, Ramzi Rahaman. The hotel also partnered with Brides of Sri Lanka as the Official Magazine Partner and TV Derana as the Official Media Partner.

The iconic hotel offers the perfect destination for a wedding celebration. It is an all-inclusive venue that offers not just breathtaking locations but detailed services for planning and managing weddings, mehendi ceremonies, rehearsal dinners and bridal showers.

The endless possibilities were brought to life by the vendors, with a beautiful mandap and Moroccan inspired set up at the magical Chequerboard overlooking the Indian Ocean, and a vibrant mehendi ceremony with pink and marigold satin and a henna corner was organised at the 1864, the hotel’s fine dining venue.

A wedding at the Grand Ballroom or Jubilee Ballroom of the Galle Face Hotel is a truly unforgettable occasion. Dramatic windows flood the space with natural light, while the colonial aesthetic and ambience blend historical splendour with easy modernity. Elegant surroundings, subtle embellishments and discreet attention will always remind you of the best day of your life. The hotel’s Junior Suite is also included with the wedding packages on offer for couples.

The #GFHRealWeddings campaign was created to celebrate the beauty and authenticity of one of life’s biggest milestones – one’s wedding. By using real couples in the campaign, the Galle Face Hotel’s goal is to highlight the magic in real-life moments surrounding a wedding. With the hotel’s stunning colonial architecture and the picturesque Indian Ocean as a backdrop, #GFHRealWeddings showcases the Galle Face Hotel as the perfect venue for a wedding. The property offers a unique location that combines beauty and convenience with the magical backdrop of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean in the heart of the city. This magnificent and romantic wedding venue is the ideal place to gather your loved ones and bring the wedding of your dreams to life.
