Colombo City Centre to celebrate International Women’s Day 2021

Colombo City Centre is all set to host a truly inspirational Women’s Weekend experience to commemorate International Women’s Day 2021. 

Colombo City Centre has lined up a range of motivational talk shows, interactive workshops and live music with special offers on food, entertainment and shopping this upcoming weekend. 

On 6 March (Saturday), the event will kick off with ‘The Girlfriend Hour’ at 11 a.m. at the Colombo City Centre Mall Atrium. 

Actress and producer Nimmi Harasgama, along with entrepreneur and presenter Vraie Cally Balthazaar will take centre stage at ‘The Girlfriend Hour’ – as they #ChoosetoChallenge traditional notions of what it means to be a woman and the power of allyship in today’s dynamic and sometimes daunting world.

Following this will be an interactive workshop conducted by popular makeup artist and entrepreneur Nadiya Fernando, as she showcases the importance of creating a strong personal brand to survive in the competitive world of now, and will share her top secrets on ‘Maximising your own Personal Brand’.

The weekend CAN Market will feature a special Women’s Day edition, bringing the CAN Market’s female entrepreneurs to the forefront. Enjoy live music by the band Silk, from 5:30 p.m. onwards, to keep your toes tapping while shipping. Kids can be entertained too as they unlock their creative potential at the Kids Craft Weekend happening from 10.30 a.m.
