British School in Colombo welcomes Sinhala and New Year in style

The British School in Colombo (BSC) celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2019 during a Special Assembly held at the school premises recently.

The students observed the event with reverence and enjoyed the exceptional and engaging dancing, singing and speeches with each member of the student body contributing to the great atmosphere at this event.

BSC Principal John Scarth delivering the keynote address said that this event brings together all the people on the island in a joyful celebration and it also provides us with an opportunity to look back and think about the year that has passed.
