BeWaxed goes global via Maldives; launches skin care range

Sri Lanka’s homegrown and fastest growing exclusive waxing salon chain BeWaxed, recently made its foray in to the international market with the launch of its first overseas franchised branch in the Maldives.

The ladies-only salon is located in Malé and is open every day except Sundays from 12pm to 10pm (2pm-10pm on Fridays). The salon will offer a range of waxing and skin care services that are available on the website www.bewaxed.lk Speaking on the launch Founder and Managing Directress Durga Kenny noted, “Completing 7 years in Sri Lanka seemed like the ideal time to take a homegrown brand international. We did a lot of research and considering that Maldives is about sun, sand and sea waxing is an essential service that we hope to provide to both locals and the multitudes of tourists from around the world who visit the islands. We also felt Maldives would be a great stepping stone to other countries in Asia and beyond”.

BeWaxed currently operates 6 salons in Sri Lanka at Nawala, Colombo 03 and Colombo 07, Kandy, Negombo and the latest BeWaxed Exclusive salon at the One Galle Face Mall. Plans are also underway to open the 7th branch in the network at Battaramulla.

“As we plan for the Battaramulla opening, work is also underway for our 2nd international branch which will be located in Bangalore, India. Again we felt Bangalore is a melting pot of activity from among the Indian cities and are hoping to have the salon open by mid this year,” added Kenny.

BeWaxed is also the only waxing salon to provide VIP Home Waxing services for those who prefer to have their waxing and skin care treatments done at the comfort of their homes. A fully-equipped waxing technician can be booked to visit your home at your convenience and is a service that is in high demand.

To further provide the highest quality of services to a discerning and loyal clientele, Kenny and her team at BeWaxed also recently developed and launched their own skin care range. Goddess dedicated to all women includes feminine wash, waxing after care lotion, body scrubs and body wash that is ideal for all skin types. The PH balanced range is available at all BeWaxed outlets and development continues on a complete range of skin care products.

Also commenting on the new product range Kenny notes, “We wanted to extend our services to our clients and also make the ladies feel that we are with them always.
