“What sets us apart from others is that we are not only about making profits, but we also have social entrepreneurship goals in mind,” said Prathibha, commenting on the launch of his new business. “In conducting our day to day business operations, we are committed to applying a sustainable, ethical approach that will ensure benefits to the complete supply chain and my customers.”

Initially, Prathibha was engaged in producing and selling promotional t-shirts, caps, sportswear and other merchandise, in order to make an honest living. “Life was hard, but I got by,” said Prathibha. “This all started when I shared my dream with Star Global Consulting (Pvt) Ltd. They mentored me and supported me to set up my own business. As a result of the support, here I am today: The owner of my very own business, Anarga Enterprises, which is my dream come true.”

Star Global is the business consulting arm of the Social Alliance for Love and Trust (SALT) mission, which was founded with the main purpose of providing sustainable long and short-term solutions to address concerns in society. Star Global provides support to start-ups and individuals venturing into business through strategic consultation services, investor/entrepreneur/inventor development, business process re-engineering services as well as through other business facilitation services. Star Global worked behind the scenes by mentoring Prathibha and grooming him to be a skilled entrepreneur with strong character values in addition to business know-how.

Star Global Consulting Ltd. CEO Shaveen Fernando said, “Through Star Global, we engage C-level professionals and subject matter experts in every project we work on.”

“We strongly believe that profit generation should not be the one and only goal for a business. Our vision is to build a great business for a greater purpose,” he added. “So when we heard about Prathibha’s dream, and saw his commitment to making an honest living, we came forward to support him. We will continue to mentor and supervise him in the coming 12 months.”
