How long does the Information Officer of the Ministry of Education take to sign a regular acknowledgement? 16 working days!

My letter requesting for some vital information was sent to the MOE under registered cover on 21 January. When I called the Information Centre on the 27th I was instructed to fax the letter. I obliged immediately. Subsequently it had been registered under ED/RTI/2101/030.

Every few days when I inquired as to why there wasn’t an official acknowledgment, I was told it has been sent up to the Information Officer for his signature.

At long last he has signed it on 19 February and I received it on 24 February.

I think we need to tell you, every now and then, how efficient the delivery under your command is. Actually, my real concern is whether this would cause any changes. Nah, probably not. Most likely I am just wasting my time.
