YES 101 holds ‘Corporate Avurudu Challenge’

YES 101, Sri Lanka’s number one hit music station, continues to entertain its listeners with yet another entertaining event with the YES 101 Corporate Avurudu Challenge. The evening was filled with excitement and fun as 20 teams of men and women from corporate offices island wide came together at the CR&FC grounds on Tuesday 30 April to celebrate the New Year.

The Sinhala and Tamil New Year also known as the festival of the harvest, is celebrated with traditional games that allow both the young and old to indulge in fun activities. In keeping with this spirit of the season YES 101 hosted the corporate games where contestants reveled in traditional games such as, kana mutti, the three legged race and banis kama to name a few in spirited camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Big wins were given to the winners of each event as each winning corporate team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. Bagging the highest points for the evening was team ‘Erabadu’ of Softlogic, who were adjudged the winners of the YES 101 Avurudu Challenge taking away five full board weekend holiday vouchers plus the grand award.
